Meet Maria, Founder of the Pearl & Bead Company

The Pearl & Bead Co is a jewellery brand by British designer, Maria Turnbull-Kemp. My jewellery is inspired by contemporary designs, nature and art. I pride myself on ensuring that our designs are wearable, eye-catching statement pieces which can be elevated or worn as everyday essentials. My love of all things beautiful was a characteristic that has been a way of life since my childhood. At the Pearl and Bead Co I  have created a beautiful collection of jewellery which I continue to build today, preferring the unique to the ostentatious. 

Training at the Grimsby Institute I continue to learn new skills everyday, continually adding to the collections you can enjoy at affordable prices. We use solid sterling silver, rose and gold plated jewellery and fresh water pearls. We don't use plastic in our jewellery to ensure that sustainability remains key.

Maria has spent the last 8 years learning the skill of knotting pearls a skill that takes patience and care, handling beautiful pearls from freshwater to the most amazing South Sea Pearls, Maria has become an expert in creating designs using her most favourite medium.

Pearl & Bead Company Events
